Joanne Riley has been honored to participate in many Showhouse presentations. She has been chosen for many different types of rooms including dining, sitting, and bedrooms. Pictured here are two of her favorites: A French Guest Bedroom, and a Prestigious Sunroom.
This Guest Room (Above) is reminiscent of a French countryside estate. The walls have a specialty finish in yellow to give the appearance of leather. The rug is a sisal look-alike. The rods and headpiece on the bed were custom designed by Joanne Riley & Walter Scadden and hand made by Walter Scadden, a renowned blacksmith. All the furniture is imported from France, including the inlaid desk and gold leaf mirror. It was published in Better Homes and Garden in October of 1996.

The Sunroom (Right and Below) is designed to feel like you are outside. One continuous mural of the stunning gardens surrounds the large windows on each wall. The mural was hand-painted by well-known artist, William Riley. The large moldings, finished in a champagne metal look, compliment the high gloss midnight blue ceiling. The all white furniture with an accent of red in a McKensie Childs ottoman float amidst the greenery.
